Shouldn't the FBI follow the Innocent until proven guilty rule.
If a person is already in the country , then what's the point of holding up their immigration process .

I believe it is random and chaotic. WORSE, we have been powerless to control or improve it. That is why we need to work together and make our voice heard!

I filed on 8th August and havent yet received my notices in mail.. I contacted my lawyer today and he sent copies of my receipts and then he also found out that they had received my FP notice .. I am supposed to go on 27th Oct to Newark USCIS... Anyone coming on same day ..
My application is being processed at Texas..
Not many people who have filed with me has recieved any notices as of yet..
So dont worry guys we all should be fine..

Also, when you have dependents (wife for ex) they make the appointments in the same day or is completely random ?? Anybody knows anything about that ?

What was your experience when you invoked AC21 both the times? Did you or your employer notified USCIS? was there any difference in title and or responsibilities? Did you try make sure the job title match with teh SOC codes that is on your labor?
hey man, if i were you, i wouldn't do this..i personally changed jobs twice in ac21 and would not do this change..

You could argue that you don't need to have a job now, just that you need to be in a "same or similar"position when the 485 is approved. if your priority date is very backlogged, you have lots of time to find a job.

I am very curious to know if you have been successful in responding to an RFE in the manner you mentioned and USCIS accepted the agrument and continued with AOS for any of your clients. I understand that given the circumstances the OP does not have much of an option since he does not have a job right now. But it would be interesting to know if USCIS has accepted such an argument in the past.

We need to do something to make him change his mind or at least soften his stand. It should not be anything sarcastic. I think flower campaign will have element of being sarcastic or even being critical.
It should be something simple and humble. May be a meeting of IL members with his staff and then if we get an opening, meeting with Sen. Durbin himself.

can we change from regular 485 processing to consular processing may be this is fast i dont know but is it a good idea for those who are stuck in name check ? its finally 180 days past from name check, but whenever i contact IO now they say a new release came out from USCIS & FBI which mentions name check for >180 days will be done by Feb2009 , who knows by that time priority date will be current ? and if priority date is current then no guarantee if job is current.................. ?:confused:

My AP was approved for multiple trips. So I can use the 2 stamped AP as many times as I want. The officer told me that when I use the APs for my next trip then they are going stamp the same APs again. And that I will not need to submit anything on my next trip. It would be advisable to keep some photocopies of the AP just in case they ask for a copy.
How do you know AP is approved for multiple entries?

My lawyer claims she seems to be getting all the information from USCIS and Aila but i cannot believe that she missed this simple one. They don't even realize how it can screw people's careers. If i don't get the application back within 2 weeks, i am screwed forever.

Just got back from UK on Friday after a month of family time, medicals and our embassy interview! Wanted to let you all know that we were approved and happily back in the US!!
Congrats on the latest admin wins and movements in campaigns/projects. I wanted to say a huge thank you but not farewell to the many kind folks who kept my spirits high in the short time I have been with IV:
