Stop fighting / dividing EB2 EB3 groups. EB3 filer should be able to port PD under EB2 category if he/she qualifies and obtains additional education / experience / qualification.
FIFO policy will help everybody (EB!, EB2, EB3)and keep things in order. I don't think there is anything wrong asking IV to involve in this matter as it is for everybody's benefit and not just EB2-I.

I got my LUD on my I-485 and my wife, and got 4 e-mail from cris, that my application was received from other center(CSC).
I am still waiting for my FP.
What does it mean.

Yesterday, My lawyer sent me receipts for my EAD, AP and my wife AP.
Now I am waiting for my 485 receipt and my wife 485,EAD receipts. How it is possible without 485 receipts, I got EAD and AP receipts.
Any idea?

Zoom, I appreciate you having started this thread, I have a suggession - Can you please
- give a little back ground as to why we are starting this effort

- Also some one mentioned that Aman was even considering SELLING his house to support OUR cause.
- what we intend to accomplish by this effort

If you add all this information in the initial post it will give direction and substance to this effort.

Although the thread title says "Reimburse the core team" and I know that the core team will not take any money (and do not expect the memebrs to reimburse them) from the fund that we are planning on creating here...Stilll by contributing to this fund we can make sure that core does not have to bear any out of pocket personal expense in future while working on "our" goal.
Lets see how many of us are actually inetested in contributing. Once we have the number we can set a realistic goal and divide amongst ourselves.
For that I suggest we give this thread good two days to develop and check other members responses...

I see a soft LUD dated 08/21/2010 on my 485 and existing approved EAD on my portfolio. What doz this mean? Any ideas? Anybody?

It looks like some got the soft LUD on their 485 but their EAD was in process and same is the case wiht my wife. She applied for EAD renewal last month.

I can tell you there are roughly 100,000 labor applications filed (50,000 EB3) between Aug 2003 and Dec 2003 for EB India category. The reason was everybody wanted to clear thru regular process before PERM takes over. Those Labors filed after Aug 2003 and before PERM started are moved into backlog and are fully cleary last 4 th quarter. And so 90% of those EB3s may be still there (45,000) hanging. EB2s could have been cleared substantially till Dec 2003. It is all my guess work and not sceintific or factual. also ..this looks very inaccurate ..because I know lot of indians who got H1 during the peak (when h1 was 195k) have gone back. i.e either they got better oppurtunities back home or just went back as they were not getting jobs. I did stay in one of the guest house which had lots of consultants ..none of them are here anymore !!

Okay guys.. now the journey is over for me. I finally got my physical cards in mail. for some reason I never got CPO email/text. All I got decision and post decision emails. Since it had been couple of weeks since decision I was getting uneasy (because of no CPO).. but I got physical cards in mail today !

No, I've not "come down from legal standpoint to employer standpoint!" Your assumptions/inferences are based on generalizations. All I meant was there are many perspectives/interpretations for "permanent." Yes, if you're an H1B on a FT job, there are high chances are that the employer thinks that's a "FT and permanent" position--even though GC is filed for future job. Why don't you ask your employer that question when you were/are on H1B, pre/post-I-140 petition? That is, were/are you working there as a temp or "perm?" on H-1B? And, yes, *legally* speaking, if an employment is at-will, it can't be "permanent." That is, if an employer fires you (for performance or downturn) , you just can't sue him on the ground that you were promised a "permanent" job, can you?
Now you have come down from legal standpoint to employer standpoint! :D
