My I-140 was filed electronically and then it was transferred over to TSC for processing.
Our company attorney filed my AoS package with NSC based on the job location. Still waiting for the receipts.

You are in this society for 35 years, so I'm not sure what's your objective of being on this forum...Anyway about your observation on Visa spill over, what you are saying is 180 different tha what other lawyers are saying, they are saying until 2007 DOS was reading the law differently so India was getting the spillover Visas, now they have started reading it differently hence India is not getting more than 7% Visas now, it is very obvious, from EB-3 India being in Oct-2001 for last 2 years, and EB-2 haven't seen any substantial movement either....
That is many peoples problems isn't it? They are active on forums, care about greencards, keep abreast on legislative stuff and then once they get greencard they disappear.
If someone is from USA and they go to your country and live there for five years; they do not have historical context of why things are done the way they are done; no matter how long they research it.

Equating labor substitution with porting is real silly. Labor substitution was clamped down, because of abuse, however it didn't mean that it was wrong by its very virtue. However the abuse lead to its closure.
As for porting, I don't see any scope for abuse. Cuz the process is in such a way, that one has to refile labor, 140, and all the exact procedures similar any freshly new EB-2 candidate would. The only difference is that at the end, one has option to request his/her earlier date.
And rightly so, because there's a difference between two Eb-2 filers. One who has not filed anything before, and one has filed "SOMETHING" before. That "something" holds the merit.

As I discussed earlier in this thread, Mine are the same dates as yours and two minutes ago I got the email of Card Production Ordered. It's been more than a month I got the Approval Notice. It seems atlast they uploaded my and my wife's Biometrics from CSC.
I think my call to IO paid off. After trying couple of times I got in touch with a decent IO for 3rd time. She said that Biometrics are missing and she will upload them from CSC. Three days after the call I got this message.

Another warning. We will not tolerate flaming wars or denigrating posts.
Can't we work together civilly for this? The illegal aliens speak in one voice and are more easily heard. While immigrants who are supposed to be "highly educated" like us have to fight within ourselves over every issue.
If you find some bad post, report it to us by clicking on the exclamation mark symbol. Don't retort.
That's exactly what I was talking about. We are not going to have a law that will benefit all of us immediately, but could indirectly and also could take a while to see the effects of it. This does not mean that we try to stall such bills or exclaim that things are not fair as it does not benefit a certain group of people. We need to know that the law makers are at least smarter than all of us here and when they do things they do it with certain reasons and we need to respect that.
All of us also have to remember that though we might me in the top 10% of this countries intellectual communities we are still all foreigners here and we should of course lobby our cause (like IV is currently doing such a great job of) and leave the rest of the burden to the law makers. We, people with EB3-I priority dates in 2002 2003 2004, should not blame others for our problem. The only way out of this mess for us, I think, is to port from EB3 to EB2. We all need to do it before they scrap that law. We are being too loyal to our original employers. Most of us were working for more than 8 years in the same company. It is time to move-on and search for greener pastures. We checked that there are around 20,000 EB3-I applications in front of us. That, @ 3000 applications per year, means more than 6 years of agonizing wait. We are already waiting for 8 years and I don't know whether we can take 6 more. I think only a mass-porting from EB3 to EB2 should be the answer.

Group of EB3 & EB2 folks should take an appointment with DOS Chief first and then with USCIS's Chief. How can we do this ?We will discuss our concerns or interpretations and changes to work towards to clear backlogs or increase Quotas or Visa Recapture..etc. I am in for any group's concerns though I am in EB3.Category does not matter. India is the hardest hit in EB based Immgiration. Let me know How we can get to the attention of the TOP/Key Persons.

We too got the magic emails saying our 485 has been approved. It was indeed a long journey that started back in 2000. Happy that it all ended well. My priority date is Dec 2005. I did create a service request early August which helped a lot. All the best to the rest of the guys who are waiting for the approval emails.

Allow me to ask you this. Why do you waste your time like this? Don't you have anything better to do? This suri guy is a jerk fresh out of PMP some class, and he wants to see a "project plan". Let me send him a power point presentation and Microsoft Projects file about the "project plan" which he wants to see.
Look, you can waste your time for as long as you want, but there will always be jerks who think that advocacy for EB issues is a "project", and at the end of budget and scheduled time, he wants to see the desired output. That' a narrow mind-set of PMP certification, which often do not apply in advocacy campaigns. It's ok, it took me time to understand this, but I had to do my own research to understand this. suri has to do his own research to learn more than his pmp class. You cannot explain it to this suri guy. So my advice to you is, please don't waste your time.
Also, who knows if this suri guy is an agent of some tracker site, just playing his charm to dampen our spirits so that all we do is track our soft LUDs.

I couldn't tell from the tone of your message if you were reprimanding me or offering me an advice in good faith. :) Anyway, the optimist in me believes that it was the latter. Thanks for the advice but I do not believe I am wasting my time by answering queries like these from members who think IV is out there to do them a favor at each step without them participating in the march towards the ultimate goal. It's all in one's perception, I guess. Even if I am successful in changing the mindset of one individual in a month, I will happily 'waste' my time on this forum :)

We need to raise about $1000 everyday to meet the goal.

Spoke once to second level IO

You are absolutely right, but that is not the sort of solution that Corporations see as what would raise american competitiveness. That is what this whole thing is about.
I feel that even if the SKIL bill passes, there will be another bill in a couple of years to bring down the number of H1s. That is because, the American public will raise their voice.
